A smooth arrival and departure are key to a stress-free trip. Here’s everything you need to know about the check-in and check-out process.
Check-in
The standard check-in time for your Holiday Home is set by the host and is listed on your booking details page. It's important to honor this time to allow the host or their cleaning team enough time to prepare the property for your arrival.
Communication is Key: We highly recommend messaging your host a day or two before your arrival to confirm your check-in time and coordinate key collection or self-check-in instructions.
Early Check-in: Early check-in is not guaranteed and is at the sole discretion of the host. If you would like to request an earlier arrival time, you must contact your host in advance to see if they can accommodate you. Be aware that a host may charge an additional fee for this service.
On-Site Check-in: In some cases, a host or a representative may be required to meet you in person to verify your identity and hand over the keys. This is for your security and to comply with local regulations.
Mandatory Guest ID/Passport Verification: To comply with local governmental regulations for registering guests in short-term rentals, your host is required to collect a photograph of the ID or passport for all guests staying at the property. Please be prepared to provide these documents to your host upon request, either digitally before arrival or during the physical check-in process. Your host will provide specific instructions on how to submit this information safely.
Check-out
The standard check-out time is also set by the host and is listed on the property page. Adhering to this time is crucial to allow the host to prepare for the next guests.
The Process: On the day of your departure, simply follow the checkout instructions provided by your host. This may include leaving the keys in a designated spot, taking out the trash, or ensuring the property is in a tidy condition.
Late Check-out: Late check-out is not guaranteed. If you need to extend your stay, you must contact your host in advance to see if they can accommodate your request. A host may charge an additional fee for a late check-out.
By communicating proactively and respecting the host's schedule, you can ensure a seamless experience for both yourself and the next guest.
